Best Remedies For Cracked Dry Lips

www.findtheSpa.com

Depending on the reason behind the cracked dry lips, there are many remedies that can treat the condition. For example, since dehydration can cause the lips to become cracked and dry, drinking plenty of water may remedy the issue. In addition, there are many homeopathic remedies, such as coconut oil, neem extract, and aloe vera. If the condition is caused by a vitamin deficiency, exposure to the elements, or a bad habit, there are additional ways to prevent the lips from cracking as well.

One of the most basic and easiest remedies for cracked dry lips is water, specifically remaining hydrated by drinking water. If a person is dehydrated from climate, illness, or even over-exercising, her lips may crack or peel. In that case, the person should increase her water intake.  If your activity level is higher, if you are in a dry climate, the water intake may need to be even higher to prevent and treat cracking lips.

Additional treatments may be required if a person has dry cracked lips because of a vitamin deficiency or exposure to outdoor elements. For example, a person may need to increase the dosage of vitamins A, C, B, B2, and E through supplements or through the diet to treat the lip condition. In addition, one should apply sunscreen to the lips and refrain from using harsh moisturizers. Other remedies for cracked dry lips include breaking bad habits that may cause the condition. For example, some people bite or peel at their lips, which may increase the likelihood of the lips to become dry and cracked. In addition, flavored lipsticks and lip glosses should be avoided because they can increase the sensation to lick the lips.

Benefits Of Organic Hair Coloring

www.findtheSpa.com

Organic hair coloring is a broad term used to describe the process of coloring hair while using fewer toxic chemicals than are used in traditional methods. Consumers looking for healthier, eco-friendly hair coloring alternatives have many products from which to choose. They also can opt for different processing methods, such as highlighting and low-lighting, that limit the scalp's exposure to dye.

During traditional hair coloring, a cream or gel containing hair dye and chemicals — such as ammonia and peroxide — is applied from the tip of the hair to the scalp. The chemicals are left to soak into the hair for several hours. Permanent hair color lasts roughly six weeks, at which time hair strands and roots start losing their artificial color and must be dyed again. Semi-permanent and temporary dyes use fewer chemicals and typically don't carry the same risks as permanent hair colors.

Certain hair coloring processes limit exposure to toxic chemicals, but there is a growing demand for organic hair coloring products that are made without them. Henna has been used for centuries to color hair in varying shades. This chunky paste does not color hair for as long as traditional dyes, but it comes without harsh additives. It leaves the hair naturally conditioned so there is no need for additional products that might be toxic or harmful to the environment.

Different Styles Of Men's Haircuts

www.findtheSpa.com

Men's haircuts can vary drastically in length and may include spiky hairstyles, trendy haircuts, and celebrity style haircuts. Some trendy men's haircut styles make a statement, but may not be in style for very long. Men's haircuts for those with thinning hair generally focus on adding dimension and volume. Military style haircuts are cropped and often razor cut. A soft curl men's haircut is ideal for men with slightly wavy hair, and is generally short to medium in length.

Spiked men's haircuts will typically require more maintenance than more traditional styles. Some type of cream, hair mousse, or gel will be needed to hold the style all day and keep the spikes erect. For men whose occupations keep them physically active, the spiky haircut style may not be the perfect choice. Crew cuts are often favored by men and boys during warm summer months or in warm climates. Flat tops and buzz cuts are very similar to crew cuts.

A shaggy layered haircut is often given to men with very fine or thinning hair. This is done by adding a few layers on top and giving the hair a windblown or tousled look. Military men often choose the Ivy League men's haircut. This hairstyle is simple and short, with the sides almost shaved. The hair on top of the head will be slightly fuller. Men's classic haircuts involve hair slicked back with hair cream. These are short- to medium-length styles and may be parted off to one side. Slicked-back classic men's hairstyles are often reserved for evenings out on the town.

Benefits Of Chemical Peeling

www.findtheSpa.com

Chemical peeling is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin that is typically performed on the face, neck or hands. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to "blister" and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun.

Chemical peeling is often used to treat fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth. Wrinkles caused by sun damage, aging and hereditary factors can often be reduced or even eliminated with this procedure. However, sags, bulges and more severe wrinkles do not respond well to peeling and may require other kinds of cosmetic surgical procedures such as a brow lift, eye lift or soft-tissue filler injection. Mild scarring and certain types of acne also can be treated with chemical peels. In addition, pigmentation of the skin in the form of sun spots, age spots, freckles, splotching due to taking birth control pills and skin that is dull in texture and color may be improved with chemical peeling.

Chemical peeling may be combined with laser resurfacing, dermabrasion or soft-tissue fillers to achieve cost-effective skin rejuvenation customized to the needs of the individual patient. Areas of sun-damaged, precancerous keratoses or scaling patches may improve after chemical peeling. Following treatment, new lesions or patches are less likely to appear. Generally, fair-skinned and light-haired patients are ideal candidates for chemical peels. Darker skin types may also experience good results depending upon the type of skin problem encountered.

How To Whiten Your Skin At Home ?

www.findtheSpa.com

One of the easiest home remedies for skin whitening is regular exfoliation. Depending on how sensitive the skin is, a person can exfoliate once or twice a week, or every other day. Daily exfoliation is not recommended, as the constant friction  especially on the elbows and knees can instead darken the skin.

The exfoliation process can start with a hot bath, followed by a baby or olive oil rub all over the body, and then a loofah scrub. Citrus fruits can also be used for skin whitening. Fruits such as lemons, limes, and oranges are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, both of which help. The juices from the fruits can be squeezed out and rubbed all over the face and body after bathing. For those with sensitive skin, a diluted solution is best to prevent redness and irritation. One of the milder home remedies for skin whitening is milk. Cleopatra popularized it as a beauty product after historical accounts revealed that she bathed in the milk of asses.

Fresh milk can be diluted in water and a small amount of salt added to further exfoliate and moisturize the skin while lightening it. Milk can be an expensive skin bleaching ingredient, so an option is to buy beauty products like soap and lotion that contain milk as the primary ingredient. Common kitchen ingredients, like vinegar, can also be used for skin whitening. The acid in the vinegar helps inhibit the production of melanin, the pigment in the skin. Different kinds of vinegar, such as cane, coconut, and apple cider, can be used as a diluted solution for skin whitening. Vinegar also has antibacterial properties that can also help treat acne.

What Is Hair Transplantation ?

www.findtheSpa.com

Hair transplantation is a procedure in which hair is removed from permanent hair-bearing regions in the rim hair of balding individuals (the donor area) and transferred to bald or balding areas of the scalp (the recipient area). After initially falling out, the transplanted hair regrows and will continue to grow in the new area for as long as it would have grown in the area from which it was taken. It also has the same color and other characteristics as the hair in the donor area from which it was taken.

Hair transplanting is most commonly performed for Male Pattern Baldness and Female Pattern Hair Loss. A relatively new technique referred to as Follicular Unit Extraction skips the removal of a strip from the donor area. A small, round punch similar to a small cookie cutter is used to excise each individual FU directly from the donor area. It has the advantage of avoiding the production of a linear scar in the donor area but is more time-consuming, expensive and more likely to result in injury of the FUs. It may also prove to be an effective way of removing hair from the body and transferring it to the scalp.

Although most hair transplanting today is carried out using only individual FUs, there are some advantages in using grafts containing more than one FU in some individuals. Transplanting with grafts that are larger than a FU requires multiple sessions in the same area to produce adequate naturalness; however, one can achieve greater hair density than is possible with FUT.

Different Styles Of Braids

www.findtheSpa.com

There are several different types of braids, but they are typically created with a few basic braiding methods. Three-strand braids, or over braids, are created by alternately crossing strands of hair over the center strand. Three-strand under braids are made by crossing the hair strands under the center strand. Micro braids, or cornrows, are three-strand under braids using very small strands.

One of the most common over braids is the English braid. English braids are usually off the scalp and extend from the head. When creating an English braid, the hair is brushed back away from the face and gathered in one section at the nape of the neck.

A very popular type of over braid is the French braid. The French braid is also called an invisible braid, because it has an inverted appearance created by crossing the three strands over each other. French braids are most easily done on damp hair. The partings may be made either with the fingers or with the end of a tail comb, a long narrow comb that comes to a point.

The three-strand under braid, or Dutch braid, looks different from the French braid because the strands are crossed under each other, forming a visible rope-like pattern that sits on top of the hair. Some types of braids, including fishtail, or fish bone, and herringbone braids, are done with two strands of hair instead of three. They are created on the scalp by alternately crossing one strand over the other.

What Is Hair Mousse?

www.findtheSpa.com

Hair mousse is a hair styling product that is dispensed in an aerosol foam spray. It adds volume to hair and often provides both conditioning and hold. One of the lighter weight hair styling products, hair mousse is applied to wet hair before drying and styling. It may also be referred to as styling foam.

This versatile styling product is a popular choice for both short and long hairstyles. When applied to wet hair that is allowed to air dry, the hair is often left with a wet look that can be crunchy feeling, but unlike hair gel, hair mousse combs out easily for a softer look. When applied to wet hair that is dried with a hair dryer, this product provides additional volume and hold.

Use this product to give your hair volume, control frizz and flyaway, and to provide moderate styling control. If you are looking for strong hold to create molded or sculpted hairstyles, consider using hair gel, pomade, or wax instead. Additionally, if you are extremely conscious of aerosol dispensers and their effect on the environment, you can find lightweight, non-aerosol spray gels for styling that hold as well as hair mousse.

What Is Lemon Face Scrub ?

www.findtheSpa.com

Using a lemon face scrub can be beneficial in solving skin care dilemmas such acne, age spots, skin discoloration, or dull complexion. The exfoliating properties of a facial scrub are enhanced by the acidic properties of lemon juice, which promotes the removal of dead skin cells and emergence of fresh, smooth, clear skin. A lemon scrub, which can easily be made at home, will also contain vitamin C, which has powerful antioxidant properties believed to fend off free radicals and protect against sun damage.

The purpose of any face scrub is to slough away dead skin cells by massaging a coarse-grained gel, cream, or paste over the skin and then rinsing the product away. A lemon face scrub can be particularly effective because the lemon contains ascorbic, or citric, acid, which is known for its exfoliating abilities. Those acidic qualities of lemon juice combined with exfoliating particles creates a powerful scrub that uses two different methods for removing dead skin cells and leaves the skin smooth and brightened.

Another benefit of using a lemon scrub is to reduce oiliness and acne blemishes. Proper exfoliation clears dead skin away from the pores and prevents oil from being trapped inside them and developing into pimples. Additionally, lemon juice has astringent and antiseptic properties that help reduce oil and fight bacteria that can cause breakouts. One possible qualm is that since lemon is acidic it can be drying on some skin types, and a moisturizer might be necessary after the use of a lemon face scrub.

What Is Facial Waxing?

www.findtheSpa.com

Facial waxing is a method of temporarily removing unwanted hair on the face. Some of the most common sites of facial waxing are the eyebrows and upper lip, although some people might find it necessary to wax other areas such as the chin and sideburns. Many people turn to facial waxing because it lasts longer than shaving, is faster than tweezing, and is less expensive than laser hair removal.

There are a few different methods of facial waxing, differing mostly due to the type of wax that is used. Cold wax strips are generally considered to be gentle and easy to handle because the cloth or paper applicators come pre-loaded with wax, but some people think hot wax is more effective for hair removal.Waxing the eyebrows is a popular procedure for both men and women who are hoping to attain a neat appearance by having well-groomed brows.

Eyebrow waxing can also be a cure for the “uni-brow,” which refers to overgrown hair between the brows that makes them appear to be connected as one eyebrow. Precautions should be taken any time facial waxing is preformed, but people removing hair from these sensitive areas should take particular care. Overheated wax can cause burns, but even properly heated wax can cause unpleasant side effects such as rash, sensitivity, or redness.

Benefits Of Egg White Masks

www.findtheSpa.com

An egg white mask is a natural skin treatment that can be easily used at home. The basic method uses nothing more than the clear, or white, liquid portion of an egg. Egg white is also called albumen. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, and protein, and can provide numerous skin benefits, like deep cleaning pores, soothing red areas, and exfoliating. The benefits of egg white masks include cleansing and exfoliating the skin. This type of mask can also reduce acne and associated redness.

Egg white is an astringent and can provide a temporary tightening of the skin and reduction of wrinkles. Some users also report that this facial has mild skin-lightening properties. Users may also find a slight reduction in the appearance of acne scarring. Another variation of an egg white mask involves the application of a thin layer of the liquid applied to the face. Small pieces of thin tissue are then applied over the egg layer. A second coating of egg white is then applied over the tissue. This mask is allowed to dry and then gently peeled off. Users report this to be an effective way to remove blackheads.

Egg white masks are a natural facial treatment that is low in cost and readily available in most kitchens. As with many skin care routines, application of the mask should be avoided in the eye area. Its use is not limited to the facial area, however, and may also be applied to the shoulders, neck, and other areas in need of treatment. The basic mask does must be washed off with warm water, as it is not designed to peel off like some other products.

Benefits Of Fruit Acid Facials

www.findtheSpa.com

Fruit acid facial treatments use acids derived from fruit, which are thought to stimulate collagen levels and improve tone and texture of the skin and may reduce wrinkles, age spots, scars, and hyper-pigmentation and treat conditions relating to sensitive skin. Common fruit acids used include citric acids, lactic acids, glycolic acids, malic acids, and tartaric acids taken from sources such as sugar cane, milk, lemons, apples, pears, oranges, and grapes. They may also be known as glycolic acid facials and be listed as peels on some spa menus.

Fruit acid facials may include moisturizer, sunscreen, cleansing, and toner. Fruit acid facials are popular for clients with acne- or oily-prone complexions due to their efficacy in eliminating the buildup of dead skin cells. Because of its rapid recovery period, fruit acid facials are a good alternative for clients apprehensive about indulging in more extensive peels or laser treatments.

A series of fruit acid facials is generally recommended to achieve desired results and many spas will create an individualized program based on the client's skin condition and type, age, and the results they are trying to achieve. Spa-goers receiving fruit acid facials may be more sensitive to the sun, so should avoid going outside, and if outdoors need to take care to apply sunscreen beforehand.

How To Improve Nail Growth ?

www.findtheSpa.com

The key to improving nail growth is keeping your nails, and your body, healthy. Like hair, nail growth is not entirely under your control; everyone's hair and nails grow at a different rate. However, there are some simple things you can do to promote nail growth.Your nails can be an indicator of your general health, so if they are not healthy, or not growing as fast as you would like, it may indicate a nutritional deficiency. Taking a daily multivitamin is a good start. You can take a general multipurpose vitamin, or look for varieties that are formulated specifically for hair and nail growth.

Another important factor in promoting nail growth is to prevent breakage and damage to your nails while they are growing out. Nails are weaker and more prone to breakage when they are wet, so be sure to wear gloves when you are washing dishes. Also, wear gloves when you are gardening or using harsh cleaners or chemicals. A good rule of thumb to remember is anything that damages or dries out your skin will also damage your nails. Obviously, try to avoid biting your nails or using them as screwdrivers or letter openers.

Cause Of Hair Breakage

www.findtheSpa.com

Hair breakage occurs when a strand of hair becomes dry and brittle. A hair strand contains a central canal known as the cortex, which contains water, making it flexible and elastic. Hair can lose its moisture and break off for several reasons, including aging, vitamin deficiency, oxygen deprivation, food intake, hair styling and medication. In most situations, hair breakage can be stopped.

Aging is the primary reason that hair breaks. The cause of hair breaking is the same as the cause of the wrinkles developing; loss of collagen production. Aging, obviously, cannot be prevented, but breakage can be minimized with the use of collagen supplements and hair care products that contain collagen.

Vitamin deficiency is another culprit of hair breakage. In order to keep hair strong and supple, vitamins such as calcium, iron, copper, zinc and iodine are needed in adequate amounts. Hair breakage can be stopped by taking a supplement that contains one hundred percent of the recommended daily allowances of these vitamins.

Hair styling is also a large cause of hair breakage. Daily routines such as flat ironing, blow drying and curling can dry out the hair cuticle, causing the hair to break. Other habits that result in breakage include brushing hair while it is wet, pulling it into a tight ponytail, braiding, and using a nylon brush.

How To Get Rid Of Whiteheads

www.findtheSpa.com

Whiteheads, a common form of acne, are also known as closed comedones. These raised, white bumps are filled with pus, and can form on the surface of the skin on the face, shoulders, and other areas. The basic cause of whiteheads is clogged follicle openings. Blackheads, or open comedones, occur when sebum and dead skin cells plug up overly large follicle openings, and oxidation causes the plug to turn black. The cause of whiteheads is more or less the same sebum and dead skin cells plug up the follicle openings but, because those openings are microscopically small, the plugs aren’t oxidized, so they remain white.

Knowing the cause of whiteheads makes them easier to prevent. Both open comedones and closed comedones can be prevented with a good, regular skincare routine. Since dead skin cells cause whiteheads, exfoliate at least twice a week to slough dead skin cells away. Cleansing the skin twice a day with a mild, oil-free cleanser will also help remove dead skin cells, as well as remove excess sebum, another cause of whiteheads. Using a facial cleanser that contains alpha hydroxy acid will help to unclog the pores, but most recommend such products only be used three or four times a week.

What Is Ultra Sonic Facial Treatment ?

www.findtheSpa.com

An ultrasonic facial treatment is used to increase the production of collagen, firm the skin, and help skin cells to cycle more quickly, leading to clearer, more youthful looking skin. This type of treatment is safe for most people to use. Ultrasound is often used on the skin after another type of skin facial, such as microdermabrasion, because it can relieve the swelling and soreness associated with this treatment. On its own, an ultrasonic facial does not cause pain or discomfort but may not improve the condition of the skin as many claim.

There are a few different reasons that patients may receive an ultrasonic facial treatment. It is often used after other procedures, such as chemical peels or facial abrasions, that damage the outer layer of skin. In these cases, ultrasonic treatment has been shown to help decrease pain and swelling. An ultrasonic facial can also be used alone in the hopes that it will eliminate dark spots and fine lines, treat acne and rosacea, and help the skin shed dead cells. If the treatment is able to do these things, it would improve the overall quality of the skin, creating a more youthful appearance.

Benefits Of Salt Glow

www.findtheSpa.com

A Salt Glow (also known as a salt scrub or sea salt scrub) is the most popular body treatment at the spa. The primary purpose of a Salt Glow is to exfoliate your skin. A Salt Glow hydrates your skin because the salt is combined with oil and usually some aromatic like lemon, lavender, or even figs. The Salt Glow is followed by a shower and an application of body lotion, and leaves your skin feeling very soft and fragrant.

A Sea salt glow helps draw the toxins from the body and increases skin blood circulation, promoting the growth of new skin cells. Sea salt, which is laden with minerals, nourishes and hydrates the skin. Most Salt Glows contain blends of natural essential oils that can arouse the senses, revive your mood and make you relax. Marine salts are rich in bromides, which are natural sedatives, so a sea salt scrub can give you a sense of calm and relaxation.

A Salt Glow can bring forward refreshed, glowing, and revitalized skin. The exfoliation process sloughs off dull and dry skin, revealing your fresh and renewed layer. A Salt Glow is also the perfect way to embrace the changing seasons, as it generates heat and natural moisture for some increased benefits. It also improves the blood circulation in the body, as the constant circular motion of the technician improves the flow of blood in that region.

A gold facial is a type of spa treatment that includes the application of a facial mask made with 24 carat gold foil. This kind of facial can often help to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines for a more youthful appearance. This softer precious metal's composition allows the skin to more readily absorb it. A gold facial can have benefits for both dry skin and oily, acne-prone skin.

A gold facial can help purge the skin of common environmental toxins and reduce the appearance of sun damage. Gold has been shown in some lab tests to speed up the regeneration of skin cells, which can often have noticeable skin brightening effects. Since gold face treatments have detoxifying properties, they can also help reduce levels of acne-causing bacteria on the skin as well as prevent some new blemishes from forming.

The typical gold facial treatment kit consists of both a gold-based cream and gold-based gel that have additional skin-improving ingredients. The gold cream typically consists of 24K gold dust mixed with saffron, honey, and sandalwood powder. This cream is usually followed by the gold-based gel turmeric pack derived from a combination of aloe vera and very thin sheets of gold foil.

What Is Hair Weaves ?

www.findtheSpa.com

A hair weave is a treatment offered in many salons that provides clients with the look and feel of longer or thicker hair. The reason that this treatment is referred to by this name is that artificial or natural human hair purchased by the salon client is woven into the client's natural hair, quite close to the scalp.

Many people decide to get a weave because they want to have longer hair, thicker hair, or because they do not like the texture of their natural hair. The type of hair that is woven into the natural hair can be any color, length, and texture that client chooses. A natural blonde with short curly hair can get a hair weave that will leave her with gold locks all the way down to her waist.

A weave can also be used to accentuate one's natural hair. This type is generally used by people who have straight to wavy hair. If a brunette with shoulder-length hair wanted longer, thicker hair, she could have a hair weave added to add inches and volume to her look. The trick here is making sure that the additional hair matches the natural hair. This type is often referred to as "extensions."
